At Studio Picture Lock, we don't wait for big studios or for someone to come and help us. We do it ourselves. Driven by our passion for film, we create diverse projects that we want to bring to a wider audience.
Mission
It is STPL's mission to produce original films ourselves and maintain a creative vision. We do this by utilizing social media as our own marketing platform. Our films range from fairytale stories to intense horror.
How it started
Studio Picture Lock came into being when Maurice made his first short film, titled Insomnia. Wout worked closely with Maurice on this project. It wasn't until months later that they realized their collaboration should continue and perhaps even start a company. So they joined forces and have been making films together ever since. Their motivation? Just doing it. Not waiting for big studios, but starting on their own, simply because they derive pleasure from creating stories on film.
